I wrote a few 0-levels that went into Magic of Rokugan and School of Illuson. A good cantrip isn't exactly trivial to come up wit, as Pres-ti-digi-tation () covers a lot of non-mechanical stuff. One of my favorite third party one's was a sort of nasty static electric zap that gave the target a chance of droping held items due to the resulting spasm. One-shot, tiny, flavorful, and comparable to things like daze.
Static electricity can be very, very painful. I remember on a trip to vegas, I was shocking myself like every 3 seconds. And due to the dry nature of that place, those shocks hurt like a son of a bee. I mean, I could actually see the arch of electricity going from whatever i was touching to my skin. Yeouch.
