They can drop the "Beast" part and just use Magical as a catch-all for things greater than their origins (but not a Monstrosity). No
Magical beast is too narrow for inclusion.
Especially with unicorns and Pegasi leaving it.

They’re still called Celestials.Games Workshop made a large number of changes to their various IPs specifically to protect them from being used by other companies, unpending decades of terminology. I see a possible similarly here.
So a Pegasus would be a "Magical"They can drop the "Beast" part and just use Magical as a catch-all for things greater than their origins (but not a Monstrosity).
The Gonadic Deva was added in the book of erotic fantasy, no?There were also the Monadic and Movanic Deva that were lesser than the Astral Deva.
It's an understood Magical [Blank]. Magical Beast, Magical Humanoid, Magical Giant. It allows for augmented versions of any other type, without the unnecessary restriction of being just Beasts. So a Pegasus would be a "Magical"
Huh?
yeah, they certainly had a much bigger budget this time around, and it showsGreat art, best thing I can say about it
That's what I'm saying. Magical Beast is a better category than Monstrosity.Nah.
The problem is that Monstrosity now exists.
Monstrosity consumed Monstrous humanoid and Magical beast for all general monsters without a definitive celestial, fiendish, fey, or far realm link.
The issue became that now "monsters" that weren't "monstrous" don't really fit in "monstrosity".
A Pegasus isn't a "monster".
A unicorn is not a "monster".
There aren't enough "It's an animal but magic" In general D&D to warrant clean them out of monstrosity and creating a separate magical beast type for them.
So pretty much the "pretty monsters" are being pulled out of monstrosity and turned into celestials.
But they changed what Celestial (and other types) means so they could shuffle creatures around. Still not sure why. They’re still called Celestials.
It wasn't giant beast, it was only giant sapient beasts that are now celestials. The mentioned not sapient giant beasts are still BeastsBut why make a square peg fit into a round hole? Giant beasts now celestials? What do the druids have to say about this?
Because they are trying to make it more clear, which I think is a good thing. Their success is TBD. In general I have liked what I have heard, but I need more time to digest it all and see the new MMBut they changed what Celestial (and other types) means so they could shuffle creatures around.
