Some of you people(lets not name any names) are like...like blood sucking TICKS! Complains...I want this...I want that...I want I want I want! I WANT YOU TO STOP COMPLAINING! Its not going to help. Yeah It may give them ideas in improvements but your just not helping with half the crap you guys are saying. If you dont like it then leave! We're not stopping you! ... [etc.].
If I followed your same attitude, I could suggest that if you don't like hearing negative comments about the new chat, then it's your right not to read them. But this thread wasn't set up to be a rah-rah cheering session (I note you're already started one of those). Instead it's a discussion of what is perceived as wrong in the new chat, not from whining and yelling, but in an attempt to find out if those things can be changed or not. And I think Wizards of the Coast is not necessarily in favor of "if you don't like it, then leave!" They -would- like to stop us from leaving. And kudos to them for feeling that way, and answering as much as they have. But people have a right to point out problems without being slammed for doing so.

You're right

you are right i didnt mean to explode i just lost it read everybodys complaint about the site and feel we all have our right to opinon its just ppls post that really set me off complianig about stupid unimportant stuff

Minor FYI

Just a quick note to say that cookies can be disabled through IE, Firefox & Netscape.
It's most commonly found in Internet Options' Privacy tab for IE, in which you can disable all cookies, or just cookies from this site. Try Advanced settings to disable all cookies or Edit for individual sites.
For Mozilla Firefox it's under Tools, Options then click Piracy button. Under cookies you can uncheck that sites can set cookies. As I'm not a Firefox user I'm not sure if you can set it only for this site. Help anyone?
Netscape users of 4.x can disable all cookies by going to Edit, Preferences, Advanced and select the warn me before accepting cookies thing. Alternatively Netscape 7.x disables cookies by Tools then Cookie Manager.

My appologies for any discrepencies as I dont have a particularly in depth knowledge of Firefox or Netscape. Just tryin' to help.

And now that I've typed all that up...I'm beginning to realise that maybe what Cystuni meant was to get rid of the particular bit of cookie that remembers the last logged in name. *sigh* Anyways I'll leave it in case and you can all yell at me to take it down if need be.

I think the disk cleanup option on your PC will also kill your cookies (since it wipes out a lot of stuff that IE, at least, randomly puts on your computer), but don't quote me on that one.

Disable Cookies on Firefox/Don't remember my login

I'm an avid Firefox user, so maybe I can help there:

Firefox users follow these steps to set your cookie preferences:

1. Go to Tools>Options>Privacy
2. On the list expand the cookie tree.
3. There's a checkbox which reads "Allow sites to set cookies".
  • If you want to completely disallow cookies, uncheck that box and click ok and you're done.
-OR-

Hope that helps :)

Edit: Oh, and just as I clicked post I remembered there -is- a feature on the boards which allows you to login a name without it remembering the name the next time you come. Next time you logout and log back in look below the box where you enter your password and there should be a checkbox which reads "Remember me?". Uncheck that and it should log you in without storing your info.

Ayup, Just that page.

Then just add that URL instead of the general one. It should work for any URL you enter, even a specific one. :)

Also, don't forget this option too, which I edited in but will post again here to make sure it's seen:

ok NOW I feel dumb... how did I miss that everytime I logged in? I'm going to go hide in a corner now and bang my head against a wall for a bit.
