Hi all!

It's that time again. So, what did you read? What do you think? What's good? What's bad? Here's some of my stuff. I've also decided to post links to reviews for you all interested in more info than my pithy statements offer.

Sojourn #29: A fun, light-hearted story. Our protagonists find themselves on an island populated by beautiful women. If Gareth's enjoying it, you know it can't be good. ;) (3.75 out of 5)

BTW: I'm the writer of the following review.

Wonder Woman #198: I'm really loving this storyline. Tensions mount as Diana's foes continue to build up the opposition against her, both in the mortal and divine realms. (4.5 out of 5)

Hawkeye #2: Clint's off-beat adventure continues. Solid characterization, tight plotting and pacing, interesting setting, and a savage squirrel, who could ask for anything more?! Obviously, I thought this issue was excellent. (4.5 out of 5)

Ruule: Ganglords of Chinatown #1: Hmm, mixed on this one. I loved the art and overall mood of this post-apoc story. However, the violence struck me as overly gratuitous, and the pacing was a bit long. Loved the ending sequence, with its Old Testament prophet (Jeremiah?) feel. (3.5 out of 5)

Birds of Prey #61: Big on character interaction, although the action scenes were solid and well paced. I'm a fan of Benes' work, but sometimes his love of T&A gets annoying to me; it doesn't in this issue. (4 out of 5)

Lucifer #44: The end of the "Brother in Arms" storyline. Well, that wasn't too exciting. The titan brothers bumble about while Lucifer looks cool, and the Heavenly Host stands around useless. Yawn. (2.75 out of 5)

Danger Girl: Viva Las Danger: Zany and silly, with loads of pure cheese, just what a Danger Girl fan expects. This time Chase brings an Egyptian artifact to its rightful owner in Las Vegas, but what does he plan to do with it? Let the wacky mayhem begin. (4 out of 5) :D

Whew! That's all for now. Still reading.

Viva Las Danger

Hi all!

Sorry for the slow response, VB. Here's the info from the DC site:

The creative team that brought you DANGER GIRL: HAWAIIAN PUNCH is back — and this time they're sending Abbey Chase and her fellow Danger Girls on vacation again…to Sin City!

In DANGER GIRL: VIVA LAS DANGER, written by Danger Girl creators Andy Hartnell & J. Scott Campbell with art and a cover by Phil Noto, the hottest girls in comics take on the Vegas strip…with explosive results!

All they want is a little R & R, but it's just not in the cards. So when a gambling mecca becomes the target of a hostile takeover, Danger Girls Abbey Chase, Sydney Savage and Silicon Valerie, along with ultra-cool guest spy Johnny Barracuda, must spring into action! Will Vegas ever be the same? Nope!

It's a one shot issue. If you follow the link above, it has a link to some preview art, IIRC. :)

Thanks for reading.
