I'm glad to see that Wizards has kept the same style of photography that they've used for the last couple of sets!
I mean, nothing brings out a mini like a bright glaring light head on.
Seriously, I can take better pictures than that (and I'm not a photographer).
So, probably, they'll look better live than they do on WotC photos. I can't understand why they present them that way - is it so that noone gets disappointed?
Probably because the photographer doesn't know how to shoot small objects, or use a lightbox, or diffuser.
It could also be they want to show all the little paint details like the unibrows, or natural shadows since the minis don't have any of there own?
