New D&D "Touring Experience" Launching in Toronto This Fall

Canadians will be the first to experience a new Dungeons & Dragons-themed touring experience later this fall. Hasbro has announced that a new "touring experience" called "The Immersive Quest - A D&D Experience" will launch in Toronto starting this fall. No other details were provided about the event, nor can we find any tickets or mentions of it on the Internet, but the experience was announced ahead of Licensing Expo, an annual showcase of various brands.

It took a little bit of digging to find a potential equivalent to what "The Immersive Quest" could be, but I found at least one possible comparisons. Earlier this year, a similar immersive touring event based on Minecraft was announced, with attendees taking an hour to an explore a blocky world and complete an interactive scavenger hunt quest. I'd expect this to be something closer to an upscale (and probably pricy) experience as opposed to the Willy Wonka Experience of Scottish infamy.

Hasbro has also built up several other immersive D&D experiences, including an off-Broadway improv show called the Twenty Sided Tavern that's set to tour the US starting in 2025.

Which was an American vessel ;)

Wondering why they didn't do it in conjunction with Fan Expo Toronto .
I watched a documentary 20 or so years ago about the Edmund Fitzgerald. Lake Superior is where the disaster took place I believe. Anyhow, I'd say it was pseudo-documentary, and a 1/4 interview. I could be wrong but the premise of the show was that they had found the wreck site. At the end they raised the ship's bell, and a butterfly flew out of the bell while they were ringing it for the people that died.

Think I'm just venting that 3/4 of the way through the 50th anniversary year of D&D and we've got nothing that I know of.
Huh? You must not have been paying much attention.

Lessee, we've got a brand new rules update for the core three rule books, including Greyhawk as the DMG setting. We've got the 50th anniversary special edition of the original rulebooks. We've got the 50th anniversary miniatures. We've got numerous events and specials. The list goes on. On this forum, we've had multiple threads on most of these things.

A revision, not relevant in my opinion.
Greyhawk as the DMG setting
Sorry but this just makes me laugh. Trying to resuscitate this setting, (as they've tried many times before) is a fool's errand. They've already announced new Forgotten Realms books which means Greyhawk isn't getting any support. Might be going out on a limb here but I bet the new DMG version of Greyhawk will go over like a Led Zeppelin.
