New D&D "Touring Experience" Launching in Toronto This Fall

Some kind of D&D Touring Experience is coming soon, although details are scarce.

Canadians will be the first to experience a new Dungeons & Dragons-themed touring experience later this fall. Hasbro has announced that a new "touring experience" called "The Immersive Quest - A D&D Experience" will launch in Toronto starting this fall. No other details were provided about the event, nor can we find any tickets or mentions of it on the Internet, but the experience was announced ahead of Licensing Expo, an annual showcase of various brands.

It took a little bit of digging to find a potential equivalent to what "The Immersive Quest" could be, but I found at least one possible comparisons. Earlier this year, a similar immersive touring event based on Minecraft was announced, with attendees taking an hour to an explore a blocky world and complete an interactive scavenger hunt quest. I'd expect this to be something closer to an upscale (and probably pricy) experience as opposed to the Willy Wonka Experience of Scottish infamy.

Hasbro has also built up several other immersive D&D experiences, including an off-Broadway improv show called the Twenty Sided Tavern that's set to tour the US starting in 2025.

There was a slow start to the year, but there have been some cool things beyond the new edition.

That prestige hardcover history book on the creation of the game.
That 50 years of Dungeons & Dragons anthology of serious scholarly essays from MIT Press.
Playing at the World has the new edition (first volume already out).
50th Anniversary Warduke action figure
Icons of the Realms anniversary figures from Wizkids
50th Anniversary commemorative Secret Lair collection for M:tG
Commemorative play events with free adventures at local stores with golden d20 and red dragon keychain giveaways
Beadle & Grimm fancy anniversary products.
Exhibit at the Strong Museum of Play
Time Magazine special edition.
Piles of panels at GenCon

A documentary could be cool, but what kind of other stuff were you thinking?

I was very unimpressed with the Secret Lair, like the art is an improvement, but instead of doing that Assassins Weed set, they should have done another 4 or 5 D&D Commander Decks.

I think it's likely there were more things planned by Paramount like the documentary, but Paramount+ has been facing significant issues of late. But we also need to remember that as much as D&D is big to us it's still a minnow in a very big pond when it comes to leisure time activities.

Honestly, I didn't have many or any expectations, I just expected it to come to me. But I don't go out much for leisure so not to say it isn't there, I may have just missed it. Maybe an ad somewhere?

Like billboards or something?
