Yeah, but what is her problem? They said something about that a body was found, but - whose body? Could Rita have killed someone, too? Why? How? When?
Didn't she tell a story about a dog she and Chad hit on the street? Maybe it wasn't a dog, but a person? Okay, that's a big guess, but on the other hand, it could make a better story (and viewing experience, as people like me could say "Hah, I knew it!" )

I don't know if they could have maintained the premise and storyline over two seasons, but this season definitely deserved to be shown fully on TV!

this episode was pretty good and now we know that even the smallest player seems to be involved. Didn't expect that the "Bus" lady would be this important of a player. Can't wait for the last two to see how it all wraps up.

I caught up on the episodes online this weekend, and though I am enjoying the show, the sudden "Oh, that's solved, let's have a new plotline suddenly appear even though everyone else is suppose to be repeating the same day." The GF didn't go with Chad to the motel previously, correct? The only reason I can possibly let this slide is Hopper's comment "Tomorrow you won't remember we had this conversation anyway" and Rita's reply "Wanna bet?"

She may not consciously remember the conversation, but that seemed to be a turning point in her behaviour similar to his partner's and his sister's from previous loops, but this one is for the worse.

I agree about "entertaining but unsustainable". Makes a better mini-series. Unless there's some big reveal at the end of the first seasn, where we discover how/why he's "looping", and he either chooses or is forced to repeat different days in upcoming seasons, a'la 24.

We've seen two other occasions (that I can recall) where a permanent change happened - his partner's boyfriend going into rehab, and his sister deciding to call Hopper and trust him. On both occasions, there as an intense emotional event. I guess that the Rita/Hopper chat in the Mexican bar did the same thing - she always got the phone call, but this time she did something about it.

AFAIK, it was always intended to be a 13 part mini-series. Remember that Lost did 6 episodes, and then was going on a 3 month hiatus.

I just watched the Feb 12th episode. Good stuff. It'll be interesting to see if he's affected Rita's behavior the next day.

I always suspected Spivak of being in on it, but there were enough times when he seemed ok that they did a good job of muddying the waters.

I was surprised, however to discover that the lawyer was in on it too.
