New DDM set spoilers!

When we were designing Graz'zt for 4e, we had a conversation on if he should be medium or large. We wanted to keep to the historical "8 feet tall" size that you see in 1st edition MM2, so we were stuck with either an imposing medium figure or a large figure that only uses a fraction of his space. If we had made Graz'zt a large creature, he would have looked a bit like Dungeons of Dread's Runecarved Eidolon -- psycholgically puny. By making him Medium, he appears more threatening.

(Had he wings or something that could be used to take up the volume above the base, I would have fought for large.)
