New Epic Magic Item - Tiger Amulet

It doesn't take up a magic item slot? That doubles the cost of the thing, right there.

I'm not sure if it's intended as such, but it actually looks to be more of a defensive item -- +4 dex, +6 con, 10/- DR, and +15 Natural AC all go a long ways to keeping someone alive longer (hell, an item that just gives 10/- DR and +15 AC is really nice). The extra +3 points of Str modifier (somone whose walking around with this thing probably had one of the party's +6 Str items) and the natural attacks are just icing on the cake. Hell, the natural attacks are practically dismissable by the point people have epic levels.

More or less. It was actually designed to grant you the strength, power, whatever you wanna call it, of the beasts of the wild. Your Str, Dex, and Con all go up, you get DR, and a fat boost to Natural AC. Essentially, you become tougher, and with the natural attacks and the physical transformation, you're not only tougher, but bestial as well, more animalistic, if you will.

As I think this is a fighter-type equipment, adding the beasts of the wild's abilities, why not add that you enter a frenzy or rage when activating the ability, using the new and increased con-modifier to determine the duration (or have an unlimited duration if that's preferable). This way, more of the untamed beast of which you speak comes forth. Personally, I think it would be great for flavour...

Other than that: I like the concept... Why not add Tenser's Transformation to the prerequisites?

I was originally going to do that, but I don't like stepping on the toes of other classes, so I left it as is. Not a bad idea though.

Because Bite of the Weretiger does almost everything that this item does. I think it covered it pretty well.
 

By my calculations, it would cost roughly 1.3 million gp. That's without the transformation part, or the DR.

144,000gp for the +12 Str.
36,000gp for +6 Con
16,000gp for +4 Dex
450,000 for +15 natural armor

I'm guessing with the damage reduction and transformation, the cost is at least 2 mil, probably more like 2.5.

You're forgetting about the higher cost of epic bonuses.

Strength bonus: 12 x 12 x 1,000gp x 10 = 1,440,000gp
Natural Armor bonus: 15 x 15 x 2,000gp x 10 = 4,500,000gp

It's a bit higher than you think. :)
