New Feat: Egotist - feedback?

The discussion in rules about blasphemy reminded me of this feat I came up with... how does it seem balance wise? The ability damage reduction is to widen it's usefullness.

Egotist
Your ego is unshakable.
Prerequisite: Cha 13
Benefit: You're better able to resist spells or effects which use your hit dice or hit points to determine how they affect you. (Examples include sleep, power word blind, and blasphemy). For such purposes, you're treated as though you were 4 Hit Dice higher, and had extra hit points equal to your level times your charisma modifier.

Additionally, any time you would take charisma damage or drain, the amount is reduced by 3 points.

That seems reasonable to me. Highly specific and defensive, so not particularly useful, but not unbalanced. Note that it suffers from the fact that the DM has sole control over how often the ability comes into play.

General, since it is very highly situational in any case.

That said, it's obviously quite useful against Ego Whip. And the idea of "Ability damage reduction" occurred to me after looking at Mental Resistance
