I suspect a few dwarves would be eager to provide quite pointed arguments on that matter.dcas said:Fighter. Why make them different from dwarves?
I'll post up the halfling poll within the next half-hour to hour, hopefullyNyeshet said:As such, I feel it is unlikely that this poll will alter much more in its results, however many more days or weeks you leave it up. As such, I suggest the closing of this poll and the openning of the next poll, be it Half-Elf or Halfling.
All in favor?
Exactly.Nyeshet said:As an aside, this poll is to determine new favored class(es) for the core races from amongst those 20-level classes released for 3.5e by WotC. I do not recall an Ilusionist class as having been released for 3.5e or even 3.0e. If it has, which Complete, Race, or other 3.5e WotC book was it in? If it has not been released for such, it has no point in being on this poll and so - despite what some are stating - should not be listed on this poll.
Nyaricus said:It's an arbitrary distinction, and frankly the illusionist "class" in D&D is just a chose that any other gets to take, ni a different skin. Fighters choose their feats, clerics choose domains, etc. It's all options, and all on the surface.
In any case, I'm not trying to pick on you, so please don't think of that way if perceived - I'm simply highlighting why it's arbitrary to include the illusionist "class".

Oh, and don't just give us the title of the book it is in. We want the page number as well, so we can read it ourselves and decide if it should have been the Gnome's favored class.
(Sorry if that came across as harsh, but I have lost count of how many times I and others have pointed out that there is no Illusionist class in any 3.5e WotC book. These polls only concern themselves with 3.5e. If you want to play an earlier edition then that is your perogative. If you want to start a poll asking about favored classes for the various races in earlier editions, that is also your perogative - although as best I can tell Favored Classes did not exist prior to 3e. Until WotC creates an Illusionist class for 3.5e that option is neither viable nor even qualified to be placed on this poll.)
