Thank you, everyone, I really appreciate your compliments! I'm currently working on building up a porfolio of finished pieces of all kinds. In the meantime have put together a gallery here on ENWorld to show works in progress as well as pieces as I finish them, and even sketches that may or may not be anything.
I am still working on honing my skills, specifically with dynamic figure drawing. Lately my figure style has drifted more toward anime/manga, but more along the "Vampire Hunter D/Lodoss/Ghost in the Shell" style, rather than the more "pop" and "cartoonish" style of the more offbeat animes. Hopefully it will begin to evolve into something of my own!
Arthur, I haven't sought any publication as of yet, but will keep my eyes open now that I'm here at ENWorld. I've always wanted to see my art in gaming materials where I feel that it belongs.
rowport, thanks, I very much appreciate your comment regarding my alien skull. From the first time I saw "Alien" as a kid, I was fascinated by Giger's style and little bits of it have permeated a lot of my horror and monster art. The alien skull was my definitive Giger-esque drawing. At first I was hesitant to add color, but once I did I was very satisfied with it (and was also able to spruce up some bits I'd mucked up in the inking...it was actually inked on paper with quill pens).
Yes, I have generally preferred stills, not for any aesthetic reason, but because they'd been simpler. I'm starting to push myself into deeper waters now and add more energy and dynamics to my work, as well as surroundings and depth.
Well, thanks again, everyone...I look forward to sharing more of my work here. Also, if anybody has any requests for monster art, or anything really, feel free to contact me!
