The Gold Dragon looks much nicer than the last one, although still a few paint steps shy of the Deathknell Gold. The Scorpion seems a little too cartoony for my taste, although I will reserve final judgment until I can see it from a better angle. Enjoy!"

I'm sure I heard that the miniatures in the new packs were going to be higher quality. They're definitely more expensive. But these look like among the worst of the DDM line.

A bit OT but I think that 1E and AD&D "chinese" version looks better than 3.5 and 4E:

I'm glad I took up miniature painting (and enjoy it) so I never have to buy any of those goofy DDM minis. Some of them are ok, but even the best of them aren't nearly as good as a decently painted Reaper or Rackham figure. Of course painting is extremely time-consuming, but a reasonably talented individual can paint "tabletop quality" in an hour or so once they get the hang of it.

That gold dragon looks like the dog you all know that barks and barks and barks until it's ready to pass out, complete with wild bugged-out eyes!

The scorpion is OK but that differently colored tail made my raise an eyebrow. Looks better than that hellwasp from ATG, but that's not saying much. I'd like to get a few of these anyway - I don't have a single scorpion mini.
