While many find the new monster stat block useful (and it is convienant in some ways), I have to let out a few gripes about it.
1. It does not show the HD type or Con bonus the creature gets. This makes me have to look up the die type if I don't remember the creature type.
2. While it calculates Power Attack in the combat options section, it invariably does not show how mych Power Attack is being used! It can get complicated when you're trying to figure out how much PA Baphomet can use.
3. Are there any good sites for downloading .pdf's for all these monsters? Before, copying down monster stats in Word was not too difficult, but with the new stats it can be a chore. I don't DM at home, which means I either have too scan a monster in and print it out (and my scanner is currently broke
), carry the book with me, or type in the monster. To me, the old stat block was easier to do this with.
