I know we aren't supposed to read real players behind the characters anymore, but I often think of Durkon as being played by a fellow who everyone loves, who everyone considers the premier comedic player at the game table, but who is also the player that can only make like one game every couple of months or so.

:)

Looks as if Nale has learned to use the tactic "Xykon's spammable spell of win, lesser."

I still don't get why people think Polymorph is overpowered but Enervation is a-ok. *shrug*

The "Cleric's Feather Fall" spell is funny.

Isn't that exactly what I said?

Usually it is a toss-up as to which is more amusing, the strip, or posts about the strip.

Right now it is the strip hands down.

Actually, it's more like "never play a cleric of a stupid deity with servants that are hard of hearing". I mean, they've heard of Death Ward, right? They've heard of Mass Cure Light Wounds? I would think they would err TOWARD interpreting spells using parts of spell names they already know... it's a good thing they didn't use the "deity misinterpret for comedic effect" on the Heal (a giant heel finishes Elan off)!

Of course, the Masked Debt Gourd might prove more useful than a Mass spell blown on only two targets...

Eh, it's more of a Brick Joke, that occasionally Thor (or his servants) mishear Durkon and try to send something very inappropriate.
Goes all the way back to comic #7 (Giant In the Playground Games)
