New Player Needs Help/Advice

Tell em they got your frog, Ribbit. One false move and the frog gets it. They were going to return your frog, but because you did such a great job they are going to hold on to Ribbit for the time being.

Keeping the story mostly true, adding a little personalization, and an obviously stupid element that makes it seem oh so true strengthens the lie. If it appears that you received no reward it should strengthen the lie. A few tears, a plea not do anything and donuts...

Good luck

I managed to sell a whole party into slavery with a demon lord with a trick not to far removed from this

Yah, I thought of that, but the problem is that one of my party members went with me to the bar where the headquarters of this faction is, and he witnessed the conversation there so he knows who I gave the sword to.

Eliminate this character and proceed . A dagger to the base of the skull usually works, sometimes its a little tough to pull it back out, just plant your foot in his back squat and use your legs. It should pull right out.

Our DM refuses to give me any advice so I need all the help I can get.

The DM might cut you some slack if you give him massages & steak dinners every night before the next session. Then again, your DM is probably a rat bastard who is so obsessed with D&D that even these favors won't phase him a bit unless you're wearing a chainmail bikini during that time.

Disclaimer: I am her DM...and worse, I'm her boyfriend too. The only advice you get from me is that you better warm up that 20-sided & prepare for a fight; I hear your fellow party members are planning to take their reward by selling you into the Bloodwar.

Pay him off. With a future favor if you have to. Or promise him a higher reward in the next mission. :]

Don't forget to kill him/her if they say no. Or let them play in one of my campaigns, they'll be crying for mercy. mwahahaha ;)

Cut her some slack

Hey, this is easier than it seems. Make an enemy you can blame getting the reward stolen on! Then everyone has someone they can point at and blame, and probably not listen to when they try to say "Yeah, I hate that person, but I didn't take her stuff."

At least that's what would've happened with some of my less reputable characters. -_-;;

Thanks for the advice guys. There is one person who is an enemy of the group. I can tell the group that this person has stolen the reward from me, however I would need at least one witness from the group. I am thinking, would it be a good idea to get someone to dress up as this character or have someone powerful, create an image of this person doing this act of stealing the reward from me? Is there anyone in Sigil who would be able to help me out?

Also, [unfortunately] killing the player who came with me to give the sword to the faction is not an option.
