New posts not bolded

I'm new to these forums so please bear with me if this topic is addressed elsewhere. When I first registered, all new forum topics were shown in bold font. That no longer occurs and I would very much like it to. Now all topics, regardless of when they were last replied to or posted, appear in regular font. I have checked my profile and the box "Don't Show New Threads in Bold" is NOT checked. I am using Firefox 1.02 with Adblock and Flashblock installed and cookies enabled for the current session only. I would really appreciate any assistance in getting new topics to appear in bold again.

On the menu bar above click My Account >> Edit My Thread Viewing Options

Make sure the option to show new posts in bold is checked. If it isn't, they'll not be bolded.

As I stated in my original post, I have verified that the "Don't Show New Threads in Bold" box is not checked. The problem persists even after I upgraded Firefox to the latest version (1.03). This is really just a nuisance but I would like to fix it if possible.

I've used to see that if I wasn't logged in, it wouldn't show unread threads in bold (because it didn't know who I was). I don't suppose that could be the situation?

I wouldn't be surprised if maybe there was some trouble with "cookies enabled for the current session only". I would probably try to change that to Allow cookies for EnWorld instead of just per the session and see if that makes a difference. If it still doesn't I would delete all EnWorld cookies (leaving EnWorld set to Allow *not* the per session option) and try again. I am thinking one of those combinations should fix it up.

Thanks for the advice. It seems to be working now, although I don't know what I did to fix it. I did several things at once so any of the following may be the solution:

1. toggle the "bold threads" option box on and off.
2. clear cookies
3. reset all fields in Options.
4. ask for help and have the problem magically disappear

I'm personally leaning towards solution #4.

My second "Meh" of the day...

I haven't thrown in my two cents, but I'm having this problem and it's getting danged annoying. My settings are fine, my cookies are fine, everything was hunky-dory until about a week ago. Now, maybe half the posts I read stay bolded. The others do not. Sometimes even after I've replied in them.

The clock was recently recalibrated - that might have something to do with it. Reset your cookies.
