I don't know if this happened where you guys are, but here in Toronto, a week before the theatrical release of ROTK, they had FOTR and TTT extended editions at some of the theatres - not back to back on one day, but rather on back to back days

Needless to say I went a few times each

well, I had Quicktime, but apparently not a current enough version of it.. so, I went to the site and got the latestgreatest version of it, and this time the trailor ran.
Wow! Gandalf vs. the Witch King! Gandalf vs. Saruman! Eowyn vs.... Gothmog?! More action at the Pelennor fields!
Ya know, although the new action sequences will be fun, I think the scene I'm most looking forward to is the Houses of Healing... there are quiet moments full of character development throughout the trilogy that make it an awesome set of movies....

Oh Lord! 50 more minutes I undoubtably spend watching. Worse off i will buy this version too as the slim release has done it's job of tiding me over until this arrives. And i also must say that I am glad that they fully integrated these scenes (and for that matter glad that every extended version did so) because i am tired of every other movie coming out saying "with extra never before deleted scenes!" and then hiding them somewhere on a third or fourth menu. But off my rant and back to the DVD at hand......SUUHHHHWWWEEEEETTT!!!!

I couldn't agree more. I prefer to see scenes that were cut put back into the movie where they belong so we can see the whole damn thing as it was written.
