New Spell: DIE ALONE

All spells have been subtly altered for balance. Please, check em' out.

Plus:

Arms Fall Off
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 6
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: Full Round Action
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Target: One creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

All of the target creatures arms painlessly fall off at the shoulders without causing damage. The creature cannot regain their arms except with a Regeneration spell or similar effect. The creature suffers all appropriate penalties for lacking arms, including an inability to climb, cast spells with somatic components, wield weapons, use certain natural weapons such as claws, and carry objects, penalties to skill checks for abilities such as Tumble, and any other penalties the DM deems appropriate. Additionally, the character loses the benefits of magical items worn on the hands or arms.

And best of all:

Arms And Legs Fall Off
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 7
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: Full Round Action
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Target: One creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

The target creature suffers the effects of both Arms Fall Off and Legs Fall Off.

Those spells Rock...

Hey Anabstercorian, those spells are brilliant. Very well thought out and totaly creepy. Die Alone is the best, IMHO. How totally original. I will probably add them to my spell lists for PC's to get or get got by...hehehehe !!!! :)
 

Since all the "Fall Off" spells act more or less the same way, I'll just list a series of body parts to affect and the levels I think they should be at...

Fingers: 5th

Nose: 1st

Hair: 0th

Tongue: 4th

Teeth: 3rd

Jaw, Teeth, Tongue: 6th

Head (Fatal): 7th

Ears: 1st

Lips: 1st

Messily Separated In To Upper Arms And Legs, Lower Arms And Legs, Hands, Feet, Fingers, Nose, Jaw, Head, Ears, Hair (Very Very Fatal): 8th

List the miscellaneous effects too, please. Ears fall off = -1 to listen checks, lips fall off = 20% chance of spell failure for spells with verbal components, stuff like that.

P.S. I am still suspicious of die alone being used as an improved invisibility with scent and sound protection and non-detection. Especially the low level version that expires automatically. It seems custom made for by-passing living guards of non-living valuables.

Yes you may. Have at it. I've got a bunch of old stuff on the boards - Search under my name, or just look for thread starters alphabetically, and you'll find all sorts of crap, some good, some bad.
