Great trailer. And I'm glad the focus is on Peter's obssesive need for revenge and how it consumes him, all the while he pushes away those who care about him the most.
It is an interesting ... plot device to use revenge, though I am a bit confuzzled.

[sblock]In the first film, we saw Peter Parker went after the guy who "allegedly" murdered his uncle. I thought he died after he fell.

Now, in the trailer for the third film, cops informed Peter and Aunt May that the villain soon-to-be Sandman is the one who actually pulled the trigger and ended Uncle Ben's life.

Huh???[/sblock]

I guess you'll just have to see the movie to find out. ;)

Either that or read spoilers...

Yeah, you're right about the films, but Spider-Man? X-Men? X-Men win every time, in my book.
Not all the time. Something about the third X-Men film story makes me a bit turned off. Maybe it's Rogue's decision to suppressed her power. Maybe having Cyclops (and the second time actor Marsden have little airtime) and Xavier killed. And I wasn't impressed with Magneto using the Golden Gate Bridge. The film is so disconnected from what I have always thought of the X-Men.

After this, they need to make the fourth film for a closure, because I feel like I'm left hanging with the story without a solid ending.

As for the Spider-Man film franchise, to me it's not about the superheroes fighting supervillains, it's about the guy behind the mask. He's not model handsome, he's not filthy rich. Just a guy like me.

I haven't read X-Men in years, I know Rogue questioned her powers for the longest time, for obvious reasons. But I thought at one point she did try to have her powers removed. I could be way off though.

Still, I'd like the movie to end with her deciding NOT to remove her power. It's still up in the air if there will be a fourth X-Men movie. Fox is apparently moving on with the Wolverine film. If we don't have a fourth X-Men film by summer of 2008, I don't think it will conclude.
