New Spidey 3 Trailer

Where does the trailer show how Peter gets the black suit? We see it creeping up on him, but it doesn't explain what it is or where it comes from or how it gets to him.
No it doesn't show any of those things, but that's one of those "money shots" that really are more effective the first time seeing it. After that scene, you really don't need much more to move the story forward.

Again, it's not a huge deal but I do feel like they showed a bit much overall in terms of plot and cool scenes. However, it could be a Star Wars trailer thing where they show things that really aren't a big deal at all but appear to be. I'm assuming that's the case but Lucas can do that because he has total control of his trailers. Raimi (nor do many other directors) doesn't have total control of such things so the marketing dept may have decided to stick stuff in there for the wow-factor, reveals by damned.

I have now officially written more about this than there needs to be. Bottom line: I loved the trailer, it was a feast for the eyes and has me completely hyped for the film.

I know nothing about Spiderman beyond what happened in the second film (I'm more of an X-Men fan myself), but my boyfriend made me watch the trailer and I just have to say this looks awesome. :D

Damn, I'll have to wait until it shows up on YouTube. :( iFilm never works for me- if I go there with Netscape/Foxfire, it tells me I need Flash player 8 or better (I have 9 installed); if I go there with IE, it invariably locks my entire PC and I have to use the reset button to reboot.

Well, here's hopeing the movie is as good as the trailer sells it to be.

I share Crichton's concern about too much of the film's "big scenes" being given away in the trailer, particularly how Sandman got his power and how Spidey ultimately ends up with the symbiote suit, as well as the church bell scene with him trying to rip it off. But after two solid movies and the same director helming the third (unlike the X-Men flicks), I'm willing to give Spidey 3 the benefit of the doubt.

Actually, the trailer does leave me with some questions:

I don't know where the symbiote-suit comes from. It seems to come as a surprise to Peter. Who made it, and why? How did Peter get ahold of it?

I don't know where that room is where the Sandman gets his powers.

If the Sandman actually killed Ben Parker, what was the thief doing driving his car? That seemed perfectly logical at the time; now they're saying there's a second gunman? Or did the thief survive the fall?

Who does Peter ask for help? The next cut is to MJ, but the camera is peering over what looks like Spidey's shoulder, and when Peter is asking for help he's wearing a suit and tie.

And I agree: I think Peter vs. Harry is going to be short, and Peter vs. Sandman is going to be the bulk of the knock-down-drag-out. I just hope that he doesn't win this fight with a shop vacuum, like Sandman's first appearance in the comic.

6 days to Legend of Zelda; 6 1/2 months to Spidey 3. Slower than Christmas!

IIRC, they did not accually show what happened to Uncle Ben. Maybe they will in this movie.
