New "Stargate" series announced

In Canada the CTV SciFi Channel runs several episodes of Stargate: SG1 every weekday. I've lost count of the number of times that they've run through the entire series now. Occasionally they'll switch to Stargate: Atlantis, but it's been quite a while since they last did that. They were running Stargate:Universe on weekends, a few years back, but not recently.
The US has Comet. They show SG-1 on weekdays. I haven't seen the other series on it yet. One day I switched to the channel and saw Ben Browder and Claudia Black, for a few seconds I thought it was Farscape and almost got excited.

I may be unique in that I have never seen any Stargate in any form ever.
You do you, but it's surprisingly good. It's not amazeballs the way Babylon 5 or the occasional Star Trek or Doctor Who episode is, but it's really solid.

I'd probably stop after season 8 though. That resolves most things, and then they introduce a new threat in season 9 that's just like the old one except more glowy and without the personal touch. You can really tell that they intended to have season 8 be the finale, but someone decided that they wanted more so they had to bolt on an additional season or two.

Stargate Atlantis beats most things not named Babylon 5 or Andor imho.

SG1 is more mixed.

SGU is Picard S1&2.

SG1 S6 or S7 onwards they never knew if they were going to be canceled iirc.
