New Superman movie trailer on Smallville tonight

The teaser trailer for the new Superman movie is set to debut with tonight's episode of Smallville (11/17/2005) on the WB network. The trailer will then play before the new Harry Potter movie which opens Friday.

Tonight's episode of Smallville should be pretty good too. Brainiac tries to convince Clark that Jor-El is evil and tries to get him to destroy the Fortress of Solitude.

Just finished downloading the trailer, and I'm officially excited as hell for this movie. Hearing the music from the original Superman gave me cold chills.

See, that's the Jor-El I remember. The one on Smallville is a rat bastard.

I have to admit it's going to be hard watching a Superman movie without thinking of Smallville.

The Superman Returns trailer did not grab me at all. Maybe I'm too jaded by Chris Reeve and Tom Welling. Too little of Clark/Superman in the trailer, and too many panorama shots - the sign of a movie only being half-cut so far.

Hopefully I'll feel better about it in another two or three months when they have a second trailer ready.


AS FOR "Solitude":

I enjoyed it - I was almost expecting Martha to die, though my money's still on Chloe or Johnathan, with my bets toward Chloe. I'm enjoying it so far, and Chloe's friendship of Clark is something I'm enjoying seeing - a journalist who is keeping one of the most important secrets in the world and not telling. In fact, she's making suggestions on how to keep the whole thing MORE secret!
