Well, can't really say it's a big departure from anything we've seen before.

I'm just glad the lighting is good. Wouldn't want to see Bale taking that poor guy to task again.

I am kind of confused by this. The terminators before had metal skeletons so that they could be skinned and infiltrate. This new model looks like some human cgi designer said, hey look at what I can make isn't it cool. Not look, I made something that fits into the universe. There is no way that can be skinned and can pass so whats the point in making it look human like. These are machines, wouldn't they just make a super killing droid that doesn't look human if they only want to use them to kill.

Maybe this is just the preferred design. Or maybe the parts are interchangeable. Pop the head and hands on a smaller body, and you have an infiltrator instead of infantry.

Oh sorry, thinking too much, um...Awesome! :)

That and the T-600 was explicitly mentioned in the first movie as the first infiltration model terminators. "The 600 series had rubber skin, we could spot them easily" or something like that was how Reese described them. I would have appreciated if it was at least plausible that the T-600 could have had some kind of infiltration skin.
