New Unearthed Arcana info

Joe,

Fine by me. I just gave an opinion. :p In any case I do hope you all enjoy the book.

Particle, I will agree I am interested in Book of Exalted Deeds and Draconimocion. Most the former since Darrin Drader is a great author and I enjoy his work in the Oathbound settings. :)

Nightfall, I'm glad that you're enjoying Diamond Throne. I agree that AU is pretty interesting so far. I've been lucky enough to get my own Warmain up to 2nd level and almost 3rd.

However, I think people are noting you in particular because several has asked that we wait until UA actually comes out but here are like four post from you that keep going on about Diamond Throne. I mean, maybe you just don't realize that you're hitting the exact same points over and over again?

I know I appreciate all of the hard work you put into 'pimping' the SL setting and have enjoyed your thoughts on various books and how they fit into the setting and it's perfectly okay to say, "Don't know if I'm interested in this based on the information." but you keep coming back to the same points over and over.

"Eh. I like AU...not sure about UA...

Joe,

No problem by me...I just happen to like the fact Diamond throne used Scarred Lands stuff. I doubt the same can be said for this book. But that only makes me slightly biased...doesn't it?

But I will point out what I like about AU is that it deals a lot more with rituals and pomp and circumstance. Plus the fact that while the power levels are a little more in some areas for the core classes, they aren't per-se as bad as some others. (IE, while a greenbond may have more access to various healing spells, via Positive Energy, a cleric and a druid can still kick said character around at various levels. This is primarily do the fact there are feats and spells that can INCREASE a 3.0 or 3.5 cleric or druid's focuses more than say a Greenbond to various degrees.) Now for UA, sure there might be stuff to improve on various EXISTING D&D/d20 campaigns. But realastically I got enough variants from the Player's Guides so far to make me feel more comfortable than waiting around for another book to do so.

Like to point out these are just MY feelings/thoughts/opinions. I am liable to change them...but it's doubtful.

Also another reason for me liking AU is the Diamond Throne campaign book offers ways of incorporating Relics and Rituals (1 and 2) prestige classes AND CC 1 and CC 2 monsters (I assumed Monte used CC Revised in place of CC 1 since it's a better book overall.)"

Alright Joe, I hear you. Btw part of my responing to this is also cause I'm trying to up my post count. :) Sad but true. In any case I'll discontinue any remarks regarding UA until the book reaches print.

And that Nightfall, is perfectly understandable. All we need to do now is get the Hive in hear to start talking about their hate of d02.

Anyway...

I'm definitely on board for this book. Options not restrictions blah blah derp.

Especially if it has Nomenclature of Polearms 2000! Now with Bohemian Ear Spoon!

Now i've gotta check out AU and everything even tangentially related to SS!! Because, well...you yawned!!!!

EDIT: and be assured, without that second backhand comment, SS wouldn't have a sale, because you credibility increases with each fawning post you make. ;)

Rude and inappropriate, and you know it. News flash: posting an insult and adding a smiley DOESN'T make it okay. Next time, please be polite, even if you don't agree with a person.

The Wizard page puts at Feb 2004.

In all I'm looking forward to it for one simple aspect of it.

The Paladin and Ranger as a Prestige Class presentation.

The Bard going back to Prestige Class is also pretty neat, and something I may toy with when it comes out.

One thing that I'm hoping.
I hope the Spell Point System and the Psionic system are significantly different.

While I admit I was overzealous, I do appreciate this PC.

In any case spell points are cool. :)
