New Weapon/Implement Hex Hammers

Though these might be in the "vault" book its seem inevitable for a pact blade more appropriate to a dwarf infernal warlock;

Hex Hammer
This black iron hammer is covered in infernal script and smells of smoldering sulfur.
Lvl 3 +1 680 gp Lvl 18 +4 85,000 gp
Lvl 8 +2 3,400 gp Lvl 23 +5 425,000 gp
Lvl 13 +3 17,000 gp Lvl 28 +6 2,125,000 gp
Weapon: Hammers
Enhancement: Attack rolls and damage rolls
Critical: +1d6 fire damage per plus
Property: This hammer functions as a warlock implement, adding its enhancement bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls for warlock powers that use implements.
Property: When you succeed with a basic melee attack versus an enemy under your warlocks curse, you do extra damage equal to your Constitution modifier
Special: You do not gain your weapon proficiency bonus to the attack roll when using a hex hammer as an implement.

I'm gonna playtest this next session, but balanced yay or nay, essential to dwarf/Con warlocks?

The basic attack option is cool, the fire damage is cool, the flavor is very cool, it looks about equivalent to the pact blade and I don't see any room for abuse with it. In fact since it gives in enhanced basic attack instead of the counter damage, and it's fire damage can be resisted, it probably is a tad weaker by the numbers. Nothing a fire based feat or two wouldn't fix, though.

I give it a thumbs up!

As an aside, I keep imagining that special demonic armors and weapons that can only forged with such a hammer. And I do so smiling. :)

Thanks for the feedback

cloned from WOTC boards:

This weapon is designed for my dwarf infernalock. He gets juiced on temp hit point due to his curse, then towards the end of the encounter smashes enemies with his maul for flavor and fun. I know not optomized with his 15 str, but he rarely misses.

I think their need to be a counter for pact blades, which were designed more for Cha races which would favor light blades. Con based warlocks would favor a hammer or axe for mc fighter powers which use Con, and feats like hammer rhythm.

It also get complicated with action switching from a rod to a two-handed maul

Looks okay to me, though maybe one more price bracket up would be better. Adding Con to damage is quite strong in the hands of an Iron Vanguard.
