I've never heard that. Is this a sign that I'm getting old? :(
Not really. It's a fairly obscure bit of slang. Best I can put together, it was coined by David Crosby of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. And, generally, it's currently most often used in a sexual context.

Demiurge out.

Heard it used *a lot* for many years, and I can say not a single one of those times was in any way sexual.

Really? That's what I get for looking for the term via Google

Demiurge out.

Wow, this ad sounds totally ineffective. Slang from the 60s? Check. Misusing that slang to play off negative stereotypes in a magazine popular with impressionable young people? Yes. Insinuating D&D is for freaks among a demographic largely obsessed with being accepted? Why certainly. After the genius of D&D For Dummies and hint after hint dropped in interviews about exciting promotional ideas, I expected more than the same dramatic, uninformative waste of space TSR was doing ten years ago- only this time, comfortable with its nonconformity.

My first impression was that it's aimed for the shooter games kids out there. "Capture the flag" and all that stuff.
