The art gallery is what I love about wizards website. It's nice to have the images available online so that I can print out pictures to show my players when they encounter something new.

Excellent art gallery! I think it's nice to see so many different styles of drawing in one book. I'm most looking forward to DMG II and Five Nations. One of my players is covering all the Forgotten Realms stuff, but it still looks good.

Seems good, but some of the WotC artists should learn that a black blot with a few spot of dark colors in it does not a picture make.

Wow, those three galleries are some of the best i've seen so far from the Wizards. Now they only have to abandon that spikey-curley stuff on the armor and everywhere and I really start to like it.

Had some trouble distinguishing the crocodile but aside from that I found them easy enough to look at. Some of them are dark but thats the atmosphere of the picture. As for a black blot with a few spots of dark colours, try finding some abstract contempary art, theres some pieces that should show you the real meaning of "art or burnt toast?"
they are pictures, you may not like them sure, but they are pictures.

I flipped through DMG II today at my friend's store and yes, that is the Wand of Orcus they are dropping into his mouth. The caption in the book says so.

And after looking at the new stat block format I have to say 'Eh'.
