Power armor also makes you slow. On survival mode with no fast travel its kinda annoying.

There's enough fusion cores early if you know where to find them. If not you'll run out unless you beeline diamond city. Assuming you know where early game resources are to buy thrm.

If FO4 was PvP power armor users would get schooled by everyone else.

Well, that’s surprising. VaultTec is such a central part of the series and it just oozes “capitalism is evil”.

In other news, I finally got around to going to Far Harbor. Not finding it particularly enthralling so far. Just more of the same.

You're level 100+ it's harder monsters and vibes essentially irrelevant.

Alot mire atmospheric lower level due to mist and threat levels. Can't just Yolo around and be OK. Idk if you're following the story there yet or if you took valentine.

I did take Valentine. By more of the same, I just mean it’s mirelurks, feral ghouls, and super mutants; and people wanting me to do little fetch quests and favors. And so on.

The fog is easy to avoid.

One thing that does irk me, now that my Nora is level 93, is how NPCs still act like I’m level 1.

I still get called “little girl” and “rookie” by random bandits. Mayor McDonough thought he could threaten me with a gun. I blew him into bits in a second.

NPCs like Longfellow still patronize me by telling me there’s no way I’ll survive without their help.

OK. I get someone from outside the Commonwealth not knowing who I am, but the random bandits and gang members in the Commonwealth ought to run and hide in fear when they see me walking down the street. They’re just asking to be killed when they call me “little girl”!

Games really a 50 lvl game. You're roughly level 30 or 35 in D&D terms.

They were still calling me "rookie" and "little girl" at level 50. I just find it annoying. Yeah, I get that maybe it would've been just too much of a bother to code different responses into the game depending on what level your character is. And I'll admit, it gives me great satisfaction to effortlessly blow up the raiders who think I am still a rookie. But it would also be nice for that raiders' friends to realize that I am not a rookie and run away screaming or something. You know?

That the game could really benefit from some kind of reputation mechanic is what I'm getting at.

I think there's a perk that does something similar. Never taken it.
