Round 81

A beautiful human with feathery wings, white breastplate, heavy shield, and a longsword flies to 60N55E, charging 2 feet off the ground. He slashes Ramses with his sword! (Rolled 14+2 for charge = 16) 6 points of damage! Ramses has 10 hp left.

Ramses roars his defiance, and hauls his greataxe back for a mighty stroke. Then he surprises the angelic thing with a headbutt followed by the axe.

(Full Attack: greataxe and head-butt. Repeat until foppish winged thing is bloody and dead at my feet)

Round 82

Ramses hits with the head butt and does 5. Protectar has 8 hp left.

The protectar takes a 5 foot step to 60N55E5Z and hovers while missing Ramses.

Round 83: Ramses misses, protectar hits for 8. Ramses has 2 hp left.

Round 84: Both miss.

Round 85: Ramses head-butts for 7, protectar flies up 5 feet and heals to 9 hp.

Round 86: Ramses readies axe, protectar comes down. Ramses misses, protectar hits for 4.

Round 87: Ramses is defeated!

Next up for N: a giant raven. (Frostburn)

The raven goes first in round 87.

(just as a note - I would have thought that rising to a height of 5 feet would still make you a valid target for a medium size attacker - essentially it's still an adjacent "square/cube". But I doubt it matters since you could have just gone up 10" instead. Amazing that my head-butts hit more than the axe at a low attack bonus!)

Coldclaw the giant raven swoops in at ground level of 60N120E, flies to 60N60E, makes a flyby attack and veers off to complete the move at 50N60E.

(I guess flyby attacks aren't as impressive with only poor manuverability.)

Round 87

OOC: If you look at round 82, the proctectar took a 5 foot 'step' to a height of 5 feet. So he healed himself at 10 feet and is currently at a 5 foot altitude. But I did roll very poorly for that cool axe!

Coldclaw can't make a 90 degree turn and he is large, so I have him at 50N55E facing south provided he started at 55N120E instead 60N120E. Otherwise he would run into the protectar after turning SW. Coldclaw is currently facing south.

Coldclaw misses! (Rolled 12) Protectar misses the AoO! (Rolled 7)

Protectar turns in place to the south and misses. (Rolled 10)

(Darn, my SRD sources don't seem to have the full manueverability rules for flight - or at least I need to look around for them more. So, let's make this simpler.)

Coldclaw lands, spins around, and tears into the protectar with beak and claws!
