Brasso staggers at the triple attack. His injuries are great enough that he dares not even try to disengage, only press further.

(Bite back at 'em, repeat and hope for the best...)

Brasso bites for 6!

Round 93: Coldclaw is defeated!

A cross between a horse and a giant eagle, but with a couple of extra eyes on random parts of its body, charges to 55N30E and claws Brasso with unerring accuracy. 5 points of damage! Brasso has 0 hp left and is disabled.

Brasso attempts a dying bite, which the creature can't dodge due to the charge. 8 points of damage! The creature has 17 hp left.

Round 94: The creature flies to 55N50E20Z, facing east. It starts sprouting tentacles and transforms itself into the most alien, Cthulu-esque monstrosity anybody has ever seen!

Next up for NG: a stonechild. (Miniatures Handbook) It goes next in round 94.

OOC: The pseudonatural hippogriff is from Lords of Madness, but you can use the hippogriff stats from the MM to conduct its strategy. It used up its one offensive ablility for the day and only differs from the hippogriff in defensive special qualities. The Manual of the Planes also has 3.0 stats on the pseudonatural template.

A buffed-up human made of stone steps into the arena at 60N0E. He holds a greatsword in one hand and grabs three pebbles from a pouch on his belt. He then focuses on the pebbles with great concentration.

The pseudonatural hippogriff goes first in round 95.

OOC: sounds good, I'm familiar enough from the Tome and Blood version to know what you're talking about too.

The monstrosity begins a mighty dive, tentacles whirling - it becomes hard to see which of them might carry the clawing attack that laid Brasso down. It charges smack into the stonechild.

(Assuming the pseudonatural hippogriff still has Int2 or so, we'll just make that a charge attack that ends landing at 60N5E. If it is smart enough, that will instead be a bull rush to push the stonechild off the map.)

Round 95

The hippogriff was facing the wrong way, so it had to turn around and attack, not charge.

It claws the stonechild for 6! (Rolled 19) The stonechild has 14 hp left.

The stonechild steps to 55N5E, drops the pebbles, and hacks with his greatsword.

Hits! (Rolled 19-1 morale = 18) 12 points of damage! The hippogriff has 13 hp left.

(ah, I misunderstood the facing. sorry. nice shot with the greatsword for the stonechild!)

The strange hippogriff doesn't even see the pebbles, enraged at the massive swordblow it has taken. It lays a full attack into the stonechild, claws and beak flying amongst the weird tentacles!

(since the stonechild is a 55N5E and hippi is at 60N5E, he doesn't even need to take the 5" step)

Round 96

All misses! (Rolled 17 highest roll)

The stonechild hits again! (Rolled 19-1 morale = 18) 14 points of damage!

Round 97: The monstrosity is defeated!

Next up for N: a giant ant queen. (MM)

(well, I suppose I should be glad I get lousy rolls while I'm playing the N side)

The queen enters at 55N115E. Dimly her instincts are concerned that she is no longer surrounded by her loyal subjects, but the enemy is clear. She rushes forward to 55N35, preparing to destroy it.

The ant's speed is 40 feet and it traveled 85 feet, so it would have to run to go that far. It could run right up to the stonechild instead if it wanted.

Whoops. Nope, I just wanted to travel 80ft. I thought the first hex was 115E... ah, but I have to travel 5 to step onto it - gotcha.

Right, readjust to 55N40E instead. Thanks!
