The arrow again bounces off the mushroom (rolled 16).

Round 224: The mushroom speeds up and floats to 60N20E10Z. The thorn feels something try to tug him upward, but manages to stay grounded (rolled natural 20 Ref save), but does breathe something unpleasant (rolled 7 Fort save), taking 1 point of Dexterity damage. The thorn's Dexterity is down to 14.
 

The thorn frowns. The thing is too far up for melee, and he's having trouble penetrating with arrows. He backpedals, pulls a sleep arrow and fires away.

Round 225: The mushroom floats to 45N15E10Z. The thorn feels something try to assault his mind, but resists (rolled 11 Will save vs. DC 8). The thorn also feels like he is being tugged upward, but keeps his footing (rolled natural 20 Ref save). He does, however, manage to breathe in particles that are not good for him (rolled 6 Fort save), taking 3 points of Dexterity damage. The thorn's Dexterity is down to 11.

(How often does one have to make one of each kind of save in the same round against the same creature?)
 

The thorn puts his head down and runs while he tries to think of something to do against the thing while somehow avoiding tripping over his own feet.

(OOC: Does ability drain count against the "do damage in X rounds or draw" rule?).
 

(OOC: I have always assumed that ability damage resets to zero for purposes of determining a draw. I am almost certain that Gansk does the same.)

Round 226: The mushroom turns and floats over to 45N35E10Z.
 

The thorn glances over his shoulder and is happy to see that the floater doesn't seem able to overtake him, so he looses another arrow and keeps going

Round 227: The mushroom speeds up and floats to 45N85E10Z. Finally the thorn cannot keep its feet on the ground (rolled 13 Ref save), and inhales more of the noxious stuff (rolled 14 Fort save). The thorn floats up to 40N90E20Z and takes 1 point of Dexterity damage. The thorn's Dex is down to 10.
 

The thorn twists and keeps loosing arrows, encouraged that the last one seems to have actually stuck.

(OOC: Does this mean the thorn is in the air and unable to really move? If not, then he'll keep trying to move away)
 

The thorn cannot move, although it can fire arrows at a penalty according to the levitate spell.

The thorn misses with arrow (rolled 17-1=16 for levitating) due to its decreased Dexterity.

Round 228: The thorn fights off brain damage (rolled 19 Will save vs. DC 10), but breathes in more of the poisonous stuff (rolled 9 Fort save), taking 4 points of Dexterity damage. The thorn's Dexterity is down to 6.

Do you want me to time compress shooting arrows until the thorn can move? If so, how often do you want to stabilize before firing again?
