NG vs. N: Neutral Good Victorious!

Unless knowledge (planes) lets Wakerider know he has the ability to defeat the rock carpet, Wakerider will be happy enough just hovering in the air at 20ft, readying a tranquility breath weapon if it resurfaces. Draw?

Wakerider knows he could defeat it with lightning, but only if it came back to the surface.

A draw is declared at the end of round 268.

Round 269: A humanoid apparently made out of solid wood, covered with bark and knots of muscle and wielding a wooden club and shield, stumps into the arena to 60N90E.

Next in round 269 for Neutral Good is a very young battle dragon (Draconomicon). It has the feats Great Fortitude, Power Attack, and Weapon Focus (claw). It has the following maxed-out skills: Diplomacy, Escape Artist, Knowledge (the planes), Listen, Search, and Spot.

Horseshoe Nail will fly to 60n80e10z and unleash a primal scream of rage at his wooden foe.
(sonic energy). The small dragons spotted scales gleam like gold, and his wingspikes appear to be sharp as knives.

Round 269: Woody dodges (rolled 21 Ref save), but still takes 7 points of sonic damage. Woody has 53 HP remaining. Horseshoe Nail can breathe again in round 272.

Round 270: Woody hurls his club, hitting HN (rolled 21-2=19 for long range) upside the head for 8 points of damage. Horseshoe Nail has 60 HP remaining. The club lands at 60N80E, and Woody moves over to 60N80E.

Horseshoe Nail is an outcast from Battle Dragon society. Ever since he was a wyrmling a scant 8 years ago, the other wyrmlin battle dragons made fun of Horseshoe Nail for his lack of performing ability. Every once in a while Horseshoe Nail tries to sing a hair raising ballad, but it's hair raising for a reason other than inspiring. Indeed, that's why his name is Horseshoe Nail. It was shortened from Horseshoe Nail Across a Chalkboard.

Remembering these bad childhood moments brings a frown to the battle dragon's face and he decides to make his papa proud. He flies out and around in a circle to land at 60N75E. Then, tactician that he is, he attacks the club with full power attack.

Horseshoe Nail AaC bites the club (rolled 19-8=11) for 12-5=7 points of damage. The club is destroyed.

Round 271: Woody slams HN with his shield twice (rolled 27 and natural 20, 1 to confirm crit) for 7+6=13 points of damage. HN has 47 HP remaining.

OOC: Bet you were not expecting the double shield bash. ;)

HN hits with bite and claw (best missing roll 9-2=7 for PA, worst hitting roll 21-2=19 for PA) for 14. Woody has 39 HP remaining.

Round 272: Woody's shield glances off HN's hide twice (rolled 17, 17).

HN withdraws backward and up into the air. He will continue his sonic barrage on Woody until Woody flees. Let me know if you need positions or if we can time compress. If HN has a free round (waiting for the breath weapon to recharge), he will cast protection from evil.

Woody flees in round 274. HN can breathe in round 275, did not have a chance to cast the spell, and is at 50N90E20Z.

Round 274: A silver flying snake (no wings) with one claw just behind its head zooms up to 55N90E20Z from the northeast and swings its tail at Radiance. The tail harmlessly bounces off (rolleld 14). Radiance is next in round 274.
