NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs 2008!

I mean, not scoring on a 4 on 1 break? 4 on 1? I believe the term is "snakebit."

4 on 1's aren't that easy to score on actually. They aren't practiced and there's too many choices for the puck carrier. I've seen far more screwed up 4 on 1's than goals from them.

Here's hoping Philly can make a series out of it tonight. They looked pretty normal barely beating Washington, then played hard while pulling the horseshoe out of their butts against Montreal. Pittsburgh's a good team, but not 9-1 in the playoffs good, they've been fairly fortunate in their matchups.

That was the first 4 on 1 I've ever seen, so it looked pretty bad to me...

As I write this, its also looking bad for Philly...at this time- 2-1 Penguins.

I live about twenty minutes from Joe Louis...so Go Wings!

I predict a squashing of Dallas tonight, and then the Penguins in the finals. One of my customers, who's a fan of Pittsburg, wants to make a bet. I figure if I see him again I'll put up a dollar. (hey, I work at a coffeeshop. A buck is a lot of money!)

Wings in six.

I think Dallas will come out tonight and play their guts out. Being eliminated in 4 in front of their home crowd would be a horrible way to be eliminated.

Game five it is! I didn't get to watch tonight (darned work!), and won't get to watch Saturday (going to be at my table at a con all day), so I root from afar.

Yep, game 5 it is.

You should think yourself lucky MonkeyDragon. I'm in Australia so I have little to no chance of seeing the game. My only hope would be if I had pay-TV (think cable). I don't so no ice hockey for me. :(

Flyers are up early, 2-0!

BTW- I have it on good authority that Marty Turco will be getting the Red Wings Monkey off of his back by dumping a pail of water on Scotty Bowman and watching him melt, ending the Detroit Curse and allowing the Stars to force game 6.
