Nightfall in Middle-Earth

Heh... discovered this metal band called Blind Guardian. Pretty good (very good technically) fantasy-oriented thematic album. Released in '98, so I'm uh.. a bit behind the curve....

Makes working easier.... :)

Yes,this is an amazing band.
Saw them 2 years ago during their latest world tour promoting their most recent record " A Night at the Opera " ( hey they have never denied that Queen wasn´t one of their big sources of inspiration :) ). They are incredible tight live. They will probably release a live DVD later this year. " A night at the Opera" was a little bit of a dissapointment for me: to bombastic and to technical, imho. It´s to much of everything. I really like their old style better with the "right in the face" speed metal on records like "Tales from the twilight world, "Somewhere far beyond" and "Imaginations from the other side"
I rank these 3 records among the best ever in speed metal history.
Check out " The script for my requiem" on IFTOS. Amazing, simply amazing.
