It has been a year since this thread was talking about the Nimble Kickstarter, and most of the (digital) rewards have been issued. What are folks thoughts on the final product?
Have you run games with Nimble? What was your experience?
We've run two one shots. People had fun and knew their character's abilities quickly. Otoh, still no foundry system and the dev has lost interest in the system so my other group hasn't looked at it.

I doubt we'd ever switch full time, but I sure love a lot of what it does for players and GMs.

Geez. That's not a good sign. Any reason why?

I haven't gotten mine. I KS it. The Nimble 5E seems to have had had sone good concepts.

I'm a happy backer. The designer is very active on discord and has done dozens of designer live streams viewable on YouTube.

The art is amazing and perfectly my style. My impression is the designer has a good sense of balance and he's done a lot of statistical analysis to make the system as balanced as possible. I also align strongly with his designing philosophy on only adding meaningful choice in system mechanics and cutting everything else.

Something I've particularly really liked is monster groups special abilities. For example there are about 5 kobold enemy types but all kobolds get to move up to two squares and attack if another kobold is killed. Similarly all goblin types deal you 1 psychic damage if you miss them. It creates a great deal of differentiation in such a simple way.

I'm also really excited to use a legendary boss monster because they seem awesome with their bloodied and last stand abilities.

I've run a one shot so far but plan to run the core rulebook short campaign soon. The one shot was met with enthusiasm and the players were keen to get into it.
