I hate anime... but I would probably watch a Legend of Zelda anime.

Or even Super Mario Bros anime. That would be weird...

In all seriousness, this is a pretty cool announcement. I definately wouldn't mind watching anime series based on Metroid and Zelda, as I've been a fan of those games since the late 1980s, when the NES was king...

The only Metroid variant possessing tentacles is the Hunter Metroid from Prime, and it only has one tentacle.

If it wasn't, it was some sort of grasping pseudopod that allows the Hunter Metroid to drain life energy at a distance.

Cool tidbit: Apparently, if you have enough energy, you can allow a Metroid to latch onto you, and if you wait long enough, it'll explode.

Excitebike (Motorcross racers!)
Wrecking Crew (Mario's other job, hehe)
Punch-Out (The story of Lil' Mac and his journey to the top!)
Rad Racer (A smokey and the bandit type anime)

Nah, give me Legend of Zelda, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy...uh wait...that's Square....and DW is Enix?....hmm

I would like to see a good Legend of Zelda movie, but alas, it's not going to happen. The best we could hope is a okay cartoon your kids could enjoy (ala Pokemon).

I checked the Super Mario Brothers movie's company credit, and Nintendo is listed as one of the production companies.

Japanese paper Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported that Nintendo will enter the movie business in 2006, to produce animation films, with accompany with related game products at the same time.

...does no one remember that horrible Mario Bros. Saturady Morning Cartoon? There was the Zelda one, too, but it wasn't AS bad.

Really, Nintendo does not have a good track record when it comes to movies/TV shows...
