Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Barbarian (HP: -4/59, AC: 17)

Razh spins as he falls, his gaze turning toward his fallen halfling friend. He watches the blood flow, which had already slowed to a trickle, finally stop. Razh slips into unconsciousness with a grim smile, knowing that his friend will survive even if he doesn't. On the ground, he twitches, his body still under the effects of his barbarian's rage. His wounds are terrible, and he will die if he doesn't get healing immediately.

OOC: Well, that's it for Razh unless somebody gets the CMW healing potion from his belt pouch and feeds it to him. Ugh. =P

Next round...

IC: Razh twitches, and bleeds (1d100=76).

OOC: Rage round 7/8, -4 HP. He'll lose 8 HP when the rage ends.

"Could one of you check Raz for a healing potion? He looks like he is about to die," Lasair asks the guards, "There's no need to fight this last one--unless he doesn't give in, of course. Then feel free to finish off the vhal-less dog."

'Raz and Ogrin have truly proved themselves today,' Lasair admits, 'They fought with ferocity, and with vhal, not like one who cares only for coin.'

OOC: Raz, I'll take care of your bleeding rolls. Not sure why you rolled a D100 anyway. You also bleed to -3, not -4.

The man (#3) drops his weapon and takes the pen and paper Lasair offers and begins to write.

The captain looks at Lasair a little oddly, but nods when she acts like nothing is amis.

Wil checks out Raz, and while he bleeds a bit more, Wil heals him a bit (4 HP).

The others have all either bleed out, or were killed outright durring combat.

The room itself is rather large, well decorated (other than the blood), and there are 2 doors on the on the wall you emerged from, one on each side.

"So, where is Niobe?" the Captain asks after sizing up the situation.

"We saw the man who took Niobe in the first place, but he escaped by horseback. These men were to meet him here, which we seem to have preempted. We will learn more from the testimony of the man who writes for us now. In the meantime, we should check the other two doors."

*Lasair checks the other two doors.*

"Both doors are locked. Our halfling friend may be able to help with those, but I'm not sure if we can bring him to consciousness. Wil, how much more healing power has your fire-parasite-lady granted you on this day?"

OOC: Sorry, I looked it up on the d20 SRD, it said d% to stabilize. So... if Razh got 4 HP of healing, he should be at 1 HP, yes? But he goes under next round, down to -7. Or... something. I'm confused as to what round it is.

OOC: Yeah, that's abotu right. He'll be awake long enough to see the man writing, Wil walk away, then he'll fall unconsious again, but not be bleeding.

Will walks over and makes sure Ogrin is ok, and casts his last cure spell, bruinging Ogrin to consiousness, barely. (5 HP healed, Ogrin is at 0)

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Barbarian

Rasereit Vundinn raises up from the ground to a sitting position. His vision is blurred, everything has a red tint. But that tint is fading, fading to black. The exhausted dwarf can see the vague form of Wil, the man he protected, walking away. Razh grumbles something, probably a thanks, but his guttural noise is indecipherable. It might have even been Dwarven. Quickly, very quickly, all Razh can see is inscrutable shadows moving about. He descends into blackness once again, but he will live.

His thick dwarven skull makes a loud clunk as it slams against the wooden floor.
