Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

*Lasair shakes Niobe slightly to see if she will awaken.*

"Excuse me--Holdmistress Niobe?"

 

[Bront]

The woman opens her eyes and gasps, she pulls up in the bed as if scared for a moment, "Wha.." She sees the captain and sighs a bit, relaxing.

"That man, he's not Cedric. Is Cedric ok?"

She gains a bit more composure, "I am Niobe, yes."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Holdmistress Niobe...much has happened, but most importantly, I partook of the hospitality of your home without first offering you a proper guest gift, as you were kidnapped at the time. I have but little, so please accept this aloe from my homeland--it is rare in these lands, and it will protect your skin from the heat," Lasair offers Niobe a vial of aloe.

(OOC: Lasair has been waiting for that for a while--now onto business)

*Once Niobe accepts her gift, Lasair continues, vhal restored:*

"You have been kidnapped by a villainous vhal-less coward and scoundrel. We have rescued you from where they had held you with their magic. You called for Cedric--he is well, but if I may ask, why do you mention him?"

 

[Bront]

Niobe seems a bit confused, but accepts the gift.

"That man, he tried to pose as Cedric, but it wasn't him. I could tell by his walk even before he got close. But I couldn't call out in time, and then he hit me... and now I'm here."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"I see. They tried to frame him for the crime unsuccessfully. We should find out who is actually behind it in a few hours when the man writing out all the details is finished. We should get you back to your home, Holdmistress. Ogrin, can you check the other rooms first i ncase they have kidnapped others?"

(OOC: Looks like we're wrapping up--yay for my first LEW adventure completed where we actually solved the mystery!)

[sblock=Troi]Racing after your foe, he manages to lead you out of town and into the woods. He is a superior horseman to you, but can't manage to duck yours and Jaan's sight. About 15 minutes into the woods, four arrows streak out of the trees from places unknown, glistening with an odd color. One of them strikes Jaan, who immediately falls off his horse (which keeps running, as they tend to).[/sblock]

OOC: That's just the magic stuff. No one's opened the other door, nor searched the bodies. He's just pointing out what he sees while his spell is in effect. He's got almost no time left (only 2 minutes). And it's an amazing coincidence. yeah, that's it.
