Nip/Tuck---it is now one of my faves...

I started catching season 1 on DVR (TIVO for cable) and really got into it, and now season 2 started and is great, this and The Shield make Tuesdays on cable great!

You know I really should watch this show at least once. The shield is one of the best shows on TV, period, and I've been watching it from episode 1 of season 1, but when the previews for Nip/Tuck came on I wasn't to interested so I didn't watch, I now know it's gotten great reviews and that I should honestly give it a try but I'm not one to watch a continuing show without seeing it from the beginning. I'll probably pick up season 1 on DVD, and hope they rebroadcast season 2 soon enough. :)

Well, they are only about 3 episodes into Season 2, so you should be able to pick up watching it any time you like.

I was also a bit hesitant, and I didn't think I would like the show very much. I gave it a chance because I like the actor who plays Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon, for those Charmed fans out there). I myself didn't like Charmed, but I was betting McMahon could do well as a lead in a series of his own. Darned if I wasn't right.

Okay, that was personal... We don't do that here, everyone can talk all about the show, you can talk all about the goods and the evils of plastic surgery but no one needs to make their attacks personal, okay?

Thanks,

Thank you, Brother Shatterstone. *sniff* At least somebody here likes me. :)

And just for the record, your right, I should probably watch more of the show before making judgements, I just find the whole theme of it so distasteful that it would be hard for me to go in with a completely open mind. I can try, but it will be difficult.

Yeah that's about how long I've been suffering The Shield withdraw... but it's not me, I'm sure I could catch up but I like seeing stuff from the beginning. :shrugs:

(I’m the same with books and I’m the same with movies based upon books, I don’t want to see the movies before I read the book, and since I can’t make it through the hobbit and into the trilogy I haven’t see the LotR’s movies but that's a topic for another thread.)

Don't cry , I think you have an idea of what you're talking about, I'd just like you to really give the series a chance. ;)

Ah, but at least you are willing to try. :) Especially after we made such vehement arguments in support of the show, hehe.

Trust me, I thought it was going to be stupid at first, myself. And I still cringe a bit during 'surgery'. I can watch shows like CSI and Forensics Files all night and not care about them digging into dead people, but 'living' surgery gives me a bit of the creeps.

But it is one of the few shows that has me in it's hooks right now. And since I don't watch more than 2 hours of TV shows a night (if that), that says a lot for a 1 hour series.

You haven't seen the lotr movies!? Honestly?!

Well, to be honest.....

I haven't seen Return of the King yet....

I waited for each LotR movie to come out as an extended edition so far, and as soon as RotK comes out in extended, it will be on my shelf next to the other two.

I can wait. I can!!! i think.....

just a few more months.......
