no "bad post" reporting?

I was trying to report a "bad post" (an out of the blue insult and belittlement in a non argumentative thread) and got a message that the email function had been shut down by the administrators. Is this temporary, something wrong with my account or can we not report posts anymore?

so this is a feature? just wondering why the button is still there if it doesn't work... and I don't have PM and perfer not to send a personal email for a generic "to any mod who cares" issue anyway (makes it seem more personal to me than a heads up to look at a intereaction should be). but good to know it isn't just me.

*snicker* see, calling someone out is what I would see the alert button as being there to avoid. It will probably resolve itself, but I would hope the gentle touch of a mod could be brought to bear.
