No DDI updates?

Did I miss an announcement? Is there a valid reason why WoTC is slacking off on their DDI updates lately? I mean the last Adventure Tools and Character Builder update was August 3rd.
We're aproaching quickly on October, and there isn't even an update scheduled on their release calander. Is there a reason behind this?
I was really looking forward to the Dark Sun additions to both those programs, as well as the Essentials update.

When is the next update coming? Why was there nothing last month? I want some answers!

WotC sent out a broadcast through their DDI group. They also posted an announcement in the WotC DDI group, the WotC DDI Announcements forum as well as the DDI General forum. Some people didn't get the announcement email due to either their WotC community site settings blocking them or due to their email putting them in the junk folder. There were also some problems with the announcement getting sent to 40k people, but WotC has assured me that it has been fixed.

So far, the people who have been asking for a refund due to a lack of update for september have been getting one, it is just a matter of contacting WotC customer service.

Edit to add - They have said that it may take a couple of days for refund requests to be processed, depending on the number of people requesting one. So far, most people who have said on the forums that they requested a refund have been getting one in about 24-36 hours.

Coding the new themes from Dark Sun and the Essentials updates took longer than expected. September's update was first moved to the 21st then canceled. October's update should be on time and include the Dark Sun and Essentials stuff. Up to you if it is 'valid' or not. This is the second missed update in 2 years.

See above. You'd have to corner some DDI programmer to get anything more.

Well there you go. WotC Customer Service is providing refunds for September for anyone inconvenienced by the missed update. Just email them and ask.

Another thing to check is your WotC community Site Settings. If you have broadcasts blocked, it will also block the email.

As far as my email goes, I do get WoTC letters (I got a notice to renew my subscription last week... or the week before) but I didn't get this one in particular.

Well there you go. WotC Customer Service is providing refunds for September for anyone inconvenienced by the missed update. Just email them and ask.

I believe that the way that Digital Rivers system is set up, it is not possible to extend subscriptions.
