No EE preview on Return of the King TC DVD??

I'm disappointed they won't include the music video of the award-winning song "Into the West," performed by Annie Lennox. :(

BTW, can a single DVD handle a high-quality film of 3 hours and 20 minutes length?

One more thing ... $29.95 on the theatrical DVD??? How much will the EE set me back?

I did not know there was a video for "Into The West", anyone have a link to it?

I belive Titanic was about the same running time, and they got on high quality DVD transfer.

DVD's usally have a SRP of about $24.99-$29.99. But don't worry, i'm sure alot of places will have RotC for less the week it comes out. I picked up Two Towers TC at best Buy day ot came out for like $14.99. I'm really dissapointed that there won't be a EE preview.

Sheesh, guys, we're getting the film in May. Looks like a damn fine release, and three months earlier than the last two films. And the portrait montage during the end credits of ROTK accompanied by "Into the West" is certainly better than any MTV video.

Yeup. There was a report on 20/20 a year ore so ago. Best time to buy a DVD is the three or four weeks after it comes out. Market exec's love to have big sales that they can plug, so they lower the price. I know, it makes absolutely no sense to me either, it just is.

I thought the two previous music videos were directed by Peter Jackson? They don't smack of MTV (then again, I haven't watched that channel since 1999).

I know alot of people got theactical cut's of FotR and TTT just for the EE preview. It might hurt sales if they don't.

I dont' think so. I've already set aside money to pick up ROTK EE already to complete my two sets (both theatrical and EE versions). Others have stated that they'd rather pick up only EE versions so they're not missing anything for not picking up the theatrical DVDs.

Besides, considering that they promised us the theatrical ROTK will be in May instead of August (as was the usual pattern for the two previous DVDs) doesn't leave much room to finalize what scenes will be added in the ROTK EE when it comes out in December 2004 (not August as was previously reported).

Of course, if they're smart, they'll try to show a minute-long trailer for the ROTK EE and perhaps preview of the upcoming DVD during the November sweep period when TheWB broadcasts FOTR film.

*sputter*

Already? Wow, that's a pretty good turn around from "in the theaters" to being on network television.

Three to four? The first week is the best, just about every major store you walk into will have them on sale then, same goes for cd's.

It will be three years, is it really all that early?
