No Hero's Welcome - OOC discussions

Sorry for the delay, I'll post the results as soon as I get the time to do a simple map. This takes a bit too long to do it at work. Well, at least it would be way to obvious ;)

:) Wow, we have a rebel DM! Fight the power! :p So, what about Voda Vosa? He's been on the boards recently, but I think he may have forgotten the game. *hint hint* *poke poke*

OK, tactics for Novhilion - running a little short on spells, with the only thing left of use in this encounter being Touch Of Fatigue. And, you know, even with the Shield up and running, I'm not really eager to provoke an AoO from an angry ogre, just to get within melee range of an equally angry Gnoll. So, I'll save that spell for later, and rely on the bow for now. My primary target will be the Ogre (I think we should work on finishing that beastie off - he has a much higher damage potential than the Gnoll). Also, I'd like to move a little out of the Ogre's range, I'm uncomfortable being that close to him.

Once the Ogre goes down and my line of fire is clear, I let loose with my bow on the Gnoll. But, one thing seems to call to me - the Gnoll appears to be on the edge of the roof. How much of a drop is that? Anybody feel like giving the Gnoll a good ol' Bull Rush right off the edge (*hint hint* Baraka *hint hint*)? After that, we can turn him into a veritable pincushion from the high ground with ranged weapons.

In addition, I've updated my character sheet in the Rogue's Gallery. I'll be keeping track of changes to AC, ammunition use, and expended spells.

Nice idea Nazhkandrias but Baraka will most likely stay focused on the ogre, hoping to shoot him one more time and put him down.

Once that is acomplished he will turn his attention on the gnoll... or perhaps the watchman. The ogre smashing through the roof had to grab his unwanted attention. He will move to the wall, peering out to look for the guard then ready an action to shoot the gnoll if he does anything hostile.

Hmmm... fair enough. But, still, remember the edge, and that it would probably be pretty easy to make the Gnoll lose its balance. Well then, I stick to my initial strategy - pummel with arrows and hope it dies soon. Any other ideas, anybody?

I think Conrad is going to stick to the strategy of poking the ogre with his sword. Unless someone gets hurt really bad, in which case he will break off the attack and move to heal them.

On a note that might make me look like a complete idiot... who's Kuro Bron?

Ooops, seems Voda Vosa changed the name of the character from the version I got sent by email. Will fix that.

(It's our absent dwarven shugenja...)

Hmm, not much going on. What are you waiting for, guys? No further input required for the next part of the combat?

Yeah!!

I was wondering what was going on. This thread got so buried I couldn't even find it to stir something up.

Let's get this thing going.
