Legend
Roland Deschain, a paladin? Say what? Even if he started out that way, by the end of Book 1 he'd have been a fighter-without-bonus-feats. If he didn't Fall after
butchering the entire population of Tull
, he surely would have after
Jake's death
.

Smoking hot does not necessarily equate to high Charisma. Nor does high Charisma necessarily equate to smoking hot.

Mahatma Ghandi: Very high Charisma. Not in the least attractive.

Megan Fox: Ridiculously hot. No charisma. (Or maybe it's that she lacks the Perform skill. Either way...)

Oh she's probably got a great Perform skill... just not with an instrument...

Sure- for some playstyles.

For others, the fighter is "just another guy".

Then he's Michael Jordan laying bricks. To put it more succinctly... the fighter who is "just an ordinary guy" is still an "ordinary guy" who masters fighting techniques and is just as accurate with a sword as the divine warrior from the gods, and the peak of human physical perfection jungle lord. And he's better at straight out fighting than they are.

Even if he's joe nobody, a fighter is *inherently superior at fighting compared to other people*. That's why they call him the fighter. The only leg up they might have is if they get better feats, or have better stats/gear/buffs.
