The Wilder, Soulborn and Swashbuckler left us last round. There were 5 classes clearly grouped behind them. Will the ones leaving be from these 5? Only time will tell.

Vote for the class you want to leave the list. The 3 classes getting the most votes will be removed from the list for the next round (and this is the last round that 3 classes will be voted off, barring some really tight finishes).

Patience. Even using cut n' paste entering 24 classes takes time (which is part of the reason I've been cutting them off 3 at a time).

Casting the first vote on a poll like this looks pretty neat. Everything at 0, except the Hexblade, getting 100% of the vote. I was very disapointed with that class; CW Samurai I barely glanced at, but the Hexblade made me think it could be a good fighter/mage, and it failed.

I had a player in my game who was playing a Hexblade/Marshal. He was very, very disappointed in the character (of course, he's a player that changes his mind for a character 5 or 6 times even before the campaign starts).

I do really like the alternate class ability from the PHB II for it, though. I don't know if it's enough to save it.

I wish we could vote for more than one at a time. I want to see both Magic of Incarnum classes go at once. And at this pace, I have to wait for far too many rounds to get rid of the Incarnum-ites and Psionicals. :D

Hexblade, inferior in all ways to the Duskblade (and other gish classes like Bard, Cleric*, Paladin, Psychic Warrior, and Ranger).

* not really fair, as Cleric is the only gish class that gets full casting

I keep seeing this term recently. Clearly it means a fighting/spell casting class, but where does it come from?

A gish is a githyanki fighter-mage. The term's been around since the AD&D Fiend Folio, but in recent years it's been adopted for any fighter-spellcaster combo. First place I saw it used in this context was on WoTC's character optimization boards - a terrifying place, those can be.

Anyway... I'm surprised the dragon shaman's made it so far. It's bland. Off it goes.

Demiurge out.
