Shadowcaster this time - nice thematics, weakish mechanics. It was either that or the ninja, but I have a slight, grudging affection for it.

Still don't get why people got rid of the totemist so early. If people actually read the class, they'd find it flavorful and mechanically sound. Much better than either incarnate or soulborn (which, I guess, is why it was last to go).

Demiurge out.

Voted ninja this time, because sudden strike is close enough to sneak attack that it doesn't need to complicate the game with a separate mechanic. I guess the designers wanted encourage the "deal a devestating attack and vanish instead of sticking around to flank" technique that most people associate with ninjas, but I think the ghost step mechanic already does that.

Anyway, addressing the various "don't understand why [class] got voted off/is still here" comments: it seems almost too obvious to mention, but people have different tastes and different criteria for deciding which class to vote off.

Some will vote off a class because they are not familiar with it. Others will vote off a class because of what it represents (people who simply don't like incarnum will vote off the totemist, for example). Some will vote off a class because they don't like the flavor, or they don't like the mechanics, or because they think the class should have different flavor or mechanics.

About the warlock: I like it because it's a good class to give an inexperienced player who wants to try a "spellcasting" character. Its eldritch blash enables it to contribute in combat, and it has few special abilities to keep track of. I will probably get round to voting it off eventually, because although it's nice, there are classes that I like more, and the chaotic or evil alignment restriction doesn't sit well with me. I mean, I could adapt the warlock mechanics to make it suitable for a Lawful Good character by tweaking some of the invocations and turning its eldritch blast into something that draws on the power of the Silver Flame, but that would be a house rule.

I've voted the Artificer each time. I figure I'll contribute to getting rid of it sooner or later. Aside from that, good to see the Ninja having a hard time.

Best Regards
Herremann the Wise
