D&D is an evolving game; it's not like the US Constitution where the founders have some kind of permanent defining claim. Parts of original D&D didn't work and undermined my suspension of disbelief. Fortunately, thanks to the game's increasing modularity, I can take or leave various peripheral parts.

The above is Quoted for truth. I sometimes give the impression that I expect D&D to be something handed down on stone tablets from Mount Sinai. Obviously it's an evolving game.

Actually we don't disagree on substantial things, it's just my pettifoggery which causes me to cavil on the ninth part of a hair.

What has that got to do with anything?

Sorry, I was using too many words to write prose of little practical import.

When I get excited, I often say the things that are near and dear to my heart ... which in this case were only tangentially related to the discussion. Forgive me, I try to write coherent and relevant contributions but I fail sometimes.
