Non-humanoid liches

First Post
I've been wondering if there are any templates out there that allow you to create liches out of various sorts of non-humanoids. Also, any equivalent to a psionic lich?

I've thumbed through Libris Mortis in the bookstore and didn't see anything quite like I was looking for, but maybe I missed something.

Basically there are quite a few interesting critters out there that seem like they would have the ability to pursue lichdom, but no rules for creating them.

Aboleth
Aboleth psions
Behohlder mages
Mindflayers
Driders
Yuan-Ti
Hag Sorcerers
Medusa Sorcerers
Insane Treant Druids
etc.

You could probably get away with applying the template in the monster manual to monstrous humanoids as well as humanoids, but it wouldn't necessarily work well the further you stray from a human wizard base.

Any thoughts or suggestions about the matter?

Advanced Bestiary by Green Ronin has the Dread Lich template and is using a Titan as the base creature.

Just apply the standard lich template.

In the draconomicon (spelling?) they have a dracolich template.

I think I might use a lich medusa now that you've suggested it. Or better yet a beholder! I like your ideas hope you don't mind if I borrow them.

I just had the disturbing image of an awakened gelatinous cube lich...

I mean, would it just be a little pile of dust? would it be a square instead of a cube?

I just had the disturbing image of cola spewing out of my nose and onto the keyboard.

I've always wanted to make a Druid Githyanki Lich...
ArchLich, DracoLich (Lick a Dragon), Lich;Good, Lich, Dread Lich, Jelly Licher

Let's See,

The Alhoon has been around for over a decade (mind flayer lich). Check the new Undead Book of Lords of Madness, and the Psionics handbook.

Dracoliches have been around a long time too. Lots of 2nd ed info on them. I think they might be in the FRCS book (but they're also in the Draconomicaon).

The Githyanki are ruled by their Lich-Queen. I think she has 2nd ed stats in some Planescape Product (maybe Guide to the Astral Plane).

Orcus became an Undead god/demon thing.

I think the Psionics Handbook has stats for Psionic Liches (if not try to find old Dark Sun stuff).

But, as 3.X has made lich a template, just about anything can be made a lich.

Updated stats (3.x edition) for Vlaakith the Lich Queen (githyanki ruler) are in Dungeon #100.
